There Is a Difference

Common Questions about Arizona Gold Cookie Dough

Q: What does it mean when Fiesta says “your school decides the retail price”?

A: Instead of having our catalogs printed with preset prices, your school decides what price is best for your community. It may be $10, $11, $12, or whatever price YOU choose. We then print custom two-part order forms for your school with the price and sales information including sales dates checks payable to whom, and more. Please note that with our Arizona’s Ultimate Collection, you choose two price points, one for the lower priced items and another price for the “premium” items.

Q: What percentage of profit does our school make?

A: You decide the percentage of profit when you choose the retail price you are going to sell your cookie dough for. It can be up to 54% or more. However, choosing a higher “percent” does not mean you will make more money. Many of our schools sell their cookie dough for $11-$12 and sell thousands of items.

Q: Your cookie dough cost is $1.20 to $2.50 less than the competition. Why?

A: There is no “catch”. We know we can provide excellent products and important customer service for our schools and still make a fair profit for our company. All cookie dough costs about the same on the wholesale level, so why do the other companies charge you so much more is a question we cannot answer.

Q: How about late orders and what if I need more cookie dough AFTER delivery?

A: No problem. Even on the day of your delivery, we can still add any late orders. If you need more after distribution, we will deliver them to you---one item or three dozen. Can the big national companies do that?

Q: Who delivers the orders to our school?

A: We set the delivery date on the parent letter so your parents know the exact day for delivery when the sale starts. We use our refrigerated trucks and our employees when we deliver cookie dough. Why? We cannot depend on common carriers who may deliver your cookie dough two hours late or not at all. We unload the truck and separate all the orders before distribution. We want to make sure it is done right!

Q: Can you “pre-pack” the cookie dough by student and class.

A: Sure! That service is now reflected in our normal pricing. However, you do have the option of packing the orders at your school and save hundreds or even a thousand dollars or more. Why pay for something you can do yourself with minimum effort. For example, we have schools sell 2,000 items and by using the “Costco” distribution method, they only need three to four volunteers help out on delivery day. Please remember, if you decide to pack your own orders, we deliver to the piece. You do not need to order and pay for full cases!

Q: Why don’t you sell the pre-portioned cookie dough “pucks”?

A: The portioned cookie dough pucks are made from a drier recipe compared to the cookie dough in the tubs. It has to be made that way. Our cookie dough can be kept in the refrigerator up to four months, so you can just “scoop & bake which is very convenient. Did you also know companies charge $2.00 or more for the “pucks”? Actually, the difference in price between a tub and box of pucks is only about .35. Yet you pay much more!

Q: Can we sell the cookie dough program and another catalog at the same time?

A: Yes you can, but we know from experience that selling two programs at the same time will not increase sales very much, if at all. It is better to sell our gift catalog, Enjoy the City coupon book, or another catalog in the early fall and the cookie dough in the late fall or early spring. You will make much more money selling twice instead of combining the sales. However, we do have a couple of programs you may want to consider selling along with our cookie dough program---the local pro and college sport tumblers or the Restaurant.com / sports FANtasti card tag.
